Linda Dion

Welcome dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ!

I must confess from the outset that I have never really had any great desire to blog. Words are flooding the world in an unprecedented manner through books and the media, and for this reason, I have never wanted to add to this growing river, which often makes me think of Revelations 12:13: “So the serpent vomited water from his mouth, like a river, after the woman, to sweep her away in the current”. So many words these days have absolutely nothing to do with the true Word.

However, Marcel has always believed that I would one day write something and my former spiritual director also believed the same thing. But I wasn’t sure about it all because I just didn’t see what I would write about!

But now, after 27 years of knowing the Lord, I am beginning to see that God does indeed wish me to write and that He deems me ready to do so. He wishes me to write words that will be of value and of worth; that will be of help; that will encourage, edify, support and teach; words that will contain truth, reality and beauty.

My hope is that through these simple words of mine, you may always be able to hear and discern the one, true Word who is the light of this world, who will never pass away, in whom all words find their true home.

This Word is absolute Truth, absolute Reality and absolute Beauty.

To Him be all praise and honour and glory. Amen!!

So now, as Maria says in The Sound of Music, “Let’s start at the very beginning, a very good place to start”…

Adam and Eve (3)

Lucifer, the greatest and most beautiful of God’s angels, had been created, along with all the other angels, to live in complete harmony with God, submitting himself freely to God in a loving friendship. But Lucifer was not happy with this state of things.  He began to think very highly of himself and grew to covet..

Adam and Eve (5)

Adam and Eve were living very happily in the Garden given to them by God.  They lived in perfect harmony with God, with each other and with the rest of all creation. But God, wanting sons and daughters and not robots who would automatically obey without any personal involvement, had given Adam and Eve the..

God’s Plan (3)

John 1: 9, 14, 16, 17 The Word was the real light that gives light to everyone; The Word became flesh, he lived among us, and we saw his glory, the glory that he has from the Father as only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth. Indeed, from his fullness we have,..

Adam and Eve (6)

Satan found Adam and Eve. What Adam did in order to protect Eve from the onslaught of the evil one is still a mystery to me.  It seems he never lifted up his voice in defense of Eve, providing his mantle of protection. Satan’s strategy was very simple; he began to sow doubt into Adam and Eve’s hearts about..

Adam and Eve (7)

By their sin, Adam and Eve lost the original holiness and justice they had received from God, not only for themselves but for the whole human race.  This “original sin”, this loss of holiness and justice in their human nature was and is still being passed on to every succeeding generation.  We see the consequence..

The Father and the Son (1)

God exists!  He really, truly does. God has a mind and a heart and He is eternally expressing his mind and heart. This means that God speaks. What  God speaks is so very full of life.  His word is as alive as He is, because it is His word, because it comes from Him. And what does God..

Adam and Eve (1)

In my previous posts, I have written a little about the relationship between the Father and the Son because I am trying to lay down a foundation for everything that will come after.  In the spiritual life, Jesus Christ, the Word incarnate is the solid foundation upon which we must build; indeed, He is..

God’s Plan (4)

1 John 3: 4,5,8 Whoever sins, acts wickedly, because all sin is wickedness. Now you are well aware that he has appeared in order to take sins away, and that in him there is no sin. Whoever lives sinfully belongs to the devil, since the devil has been a sinner from the beginning. This was..

Adam and Eve (2)

Adam and Eve were created by God through his Word and God said that this was indeed very good. I wish I could have met Adam and Eve after their creation.  I am sure I would have been dazzled by their brightness, their purity and their perfection. They were God’s supreme masterpiece for they had..

Adam and Eve (4)

Lucifer managed to sway one third of the angels to his view of things.  Their choice against God was irrevocable because being pure spirits,  the decision they made on that day was a fully conscious one  and came from the very essence and heart of their being.  This is why their choice – their sin –..

The Father and the Son (2)

The Son is the perfect image of the Father, since He is the Word of the Father, the Word that is eternally begotten, eternally spoken. There is perfect harmony between the Father and the Son because the Son eternally agrees with his Father.  The Son never speaks a word that is contrary to the Father’s..

The Father and the Son (3)

God the Father spoke everything that exists into being through the Word, who is his Son. There is nothing that was not made save by this Word. Everything…great and small, visible and invisible…everything is held in existence by the Word of God. And the greatest of His creation are men and women, who were made..

1 John 4: 9-10 This is the revelation of God’s love for us, that God sent his only Son into the world that we might have life through him. Love consists in this: it is not we who loved God, but God loved us and sent his Son to expiate our sins. (NJB) 1 John..
