Linda and I believe this apostolic letter is incredibly prophetic, and therefore hugely significant. In it St John Paul II essentially presents us with God's plan for the third millennium, and includes profound pastoral wisdom and priorities to guide us in our task of "shaping history according to God's plan" (NMI 33).
