But you are a chosen race,

a kingdom of priests,

a holy nation,

a people to be

a personal possession

to sing the praises of God

who called you

out of the darkness

into his wonderful light.

1 Peter 2:9

Marcel - April 9, 2023 - This is a wonderful time of the year to ponder the unbreakable link between Easter Sunday and Divine Mercy Sunday, which, liturgically speaking, is one and the same day! That is significant; the Lord's resurrection is not primarily a historical event of the distant past but a present reality! We have not only been called "out of darkness into His wonderful light" but by His grace, we have been taken out of the darkness and placed into that wonderful light which is Jesus Christ Himself. Consequently, all of us who "abide" in Him are truly sons and daughters of the Father and are invited and encouraged to boldly ask much of God's mercy and to do so with great trust and confidence.

Linda - April 24, 2022 - May our Lord Jesus Christ be blessed forever and ever for having taken us out of the darkness and brought us into His kingdom of light for all of eternity!  We have been freed from the slavery of sin and death and by His mercy, we are enabled to journey forward to total union with Him in an eternal heaven.  May we all sing His praises together, especially on this Divine Mercy Sunday, when the Lord promises to grant us whatever we ask Him, as long as we have faith, because He has told us that on this day, "the bowels of His mercy" are wide open.  Today, Marcel and I plan to ask great things from Him for ourselves, our family, friends and all those we hold dear in our hearts.  We can't wait to see how He will respond...
