Hearts Set Free
Marcel and Linda Dion

We had such a wonderful time on our last 'Gather' evening of this season! Given that a heat wave warning had been issued, more people attended than we had anticipated and all were keen to worship the Lord with enthusiasm. We also had the joy of meeting Joyce Jean who drove all the way from Pickering to Gather with us and praise the Lord! And as usual, the Lord revealed His own eagerness to speak to us by giving one of our worshipers a word even before the evening actually began!
Word 1 - As Jeremy Rivett-Carnac was walking from the parking lot to the church he could hear the worship team practicing. An image immediately came to him at that time and he shared it with us right at the beginning and it set the tone to our evening:
"There was cement and there was grass just starting to come up through the concrete and the more we praised, the more the grass grew up through this concrete and started to break up the concrete. And it just sort of... you could really see the new growth, really see the growth of the grass from the praise and the music."

Word 2 - Megan McBain, who is a very welcome regular worshiper at our Gatherings, was given another beautiful vision for us that united Jeremy and Lina's visions.
"I saw the hand of Jesus reach into a chest and heal a heart, when it closed over it. He took that heart and threw it up into the sky, and it became thousands of colourful butterflies.
There were many people on the ground, stuck in sticky, stringy mud which was their sin. They were always looking down at the mud. When Jesus released the heart that became butterflies, the people looked up and were in awe at the beauty. The butterflies finally caused them to look up and off their sin, and when they looked back down from seeing the butterflies, they were astonished to find themselves stuck in the mud and they could see in perspective."
Word 3 - There was no opportunity for Lina Gagnon to share her word with the entire assembly but I include it here because it reveals what God wishes to give us and dovetails beautifully with the other words.
As we were praising Lina saw tongues of fire over everyone present, just as on the day of Pentecost. She said that "everyone in the church had one over their heads."

By the end of the evening, everyone gathered was filled with gratitude. It has become so evident to us all that God wants to anoint us with the Holy Spirit even more than we realize, so that we can experience new life in Him; whether it's a heart being set free to fly into freedom and escape the darkness that is slowing it down, or a soul experiencing a surge of new life; new fire and zeal that pierces through the strongholds that have held it back.

God has more; there is always so much more available to us, which gives us yet another reason for Marcel and I to believe that the promised second Pentecost will indeed come! Another confirmation and visible sign that many are hungering for that "more" of whatever the Lord desires to do, was illustrated by Joyce, as mentioned above, who drove from Pickering to join us in the praise and worship of our Lord!
