Gathering the Sheep

A few weeks ago, a dear friend of ours, Beverley DeMontigny, sent us an email with an attached video. Marcel and I thought that we would share her insights with you because they are very encouraging and also prophetic. This is what she wrote:

I was looking on the weather channel the other day and the attached video was there. It reminded me of the word you’ve received from the Lord to gather together. If you watch the video though you will see that there is a storm coming. At first everything seems calm, then you see some sheep stand and are on the alert and finally they all rush together just before the tornado hits.
Once the storm passes it appears that none of them are hurt or the worse for wear. Anyway although this was a natural occurrence in nature it spoke to me of your efforts to gather the people in this time when the storms around are increasingly intense. And it seemed to me a confirmation with regard to the direction you are taking.

Beverley has a strong intercessory gifting so we always welcome her insights. We wanted to share her message with you so that you too, who are hearing the call of the Lord to gather with us on our evenings of praise and worship or uniting yourselves with us in prayer, may be encouraged and built up in the Lord as unprecedented storms are unleashed upon our world. Perhaps you sense, as we do, that more storms are coming. But the Lord told us to be prepared. One of the ways we can do that is to come together and lift up His name and His mighty deeds with joyful and grateful hearts. When we do so, faith is released, amazing things happen and the darkness is pushed back because the Lord did tell us that the gates of hell would not prevail against us! The Lord is master over all and He is our good and faithful shepherd.

John 10:2-4,14
He who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the flock; the gatekeeper lets him in, the sheep hear his voice, one by one he calls his own sheep and leads them out. When he has brought out all those that are his, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow because they know his voice.
I am the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me.
